I've been reminded that the
New Century Chamber Orchestra has an audience-friendly
program of American works coming up May 6 - 9. The program includes the Barber
Adagio, Copland's
Appalachian Spring &
Hoe Down, & a world premiere of the
Romanza violin concerto by
William Bolcom. The NCCO has very enthusiastic audiences, & they generously offer
half-price tickets for patrons 30 & under. There is also the opportunity to attend an
open rehearsal in Berkeley on May 4th for just $8. Mr. Bolcom is scheduled to be on-hand.
